The Altar and Rosary Society is a ministry in which all women of the parish are invited and

encouraged to join. The Altar and Rosary organization has three main goals: 1) to maintain

the sanctuary; 2) to provide spiritual and social benefits for women of the parish; and 3) to

support the pastor in the needs of the church. We are looking for ways to increase our

membership through church interaction. Vital services to the parish include the following:

• ALTAR: maintain sacred vessels; such as chalices, patens, candlesticks and other

liturgical items.

• ALTAR LINENS: purchase, launder and repair altar cloths & linens, altar server robes

and vestments.

• DECORATING/FLOWERS: purchase all flowers for Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and

Feast Days as needed.

• MARTHA’S: supply and serve funeral lunches/receptions and other events as deemed

appropriate.

• SOCIAL PROGRAMS: organize and host a few social events for members and of the

parish community.

• ROSARY: encourage and support recitation of the Holy rosary, make and provide

rosaries in the church for ALL to use prior or during Masses.

Since its inception, the Altar and Rosary Society has taken responsibility to care for God’s

House and provide for His children. Annual dues are $10.00, collected in January. We

welcome all women of the Parish. It is a good opportunity to meet new women and be

involved in our special group. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month,

September through May at 6:30 pm in the parish office.
